Psychoeducational Evaluation for Learning Disability
Psychoeducational assessment services are designed to evaluate cognitive, academic, and emotional functioning across the lifespan, from children to adults. These individualized assessments provide insights that guide educational planning and interventions. The assessment process involves a clinical interview to discuss concerns, a comprehensive review of educational and developmental history, and the use of standardized tools such as intelligence tests, achievement tests, and behavioral rating scales.
Package Fee: $2,500
Answer: A psychoeducational assessment for learning disabilities is a comprehensive evaluation that examines cognitive, academic, and emotional functioning to determine whether a specific learning disability is present and how it may be impacting educational progress. This assessment helps identify strengths and challenges, informs diagnosis, and guides recommendations for educational planning and support.
Answer: Children and adolescents who are experiencing persistent difficulties with reading, writing, math, or other academic skills may benefit from a psychoeducational assessment.
Answer: The process typically includes interviews, standardized testing, behavioral observations, developmental history review, and input from teachers or caregivers.
Answer: The full process is often completed within a few weeks. The process involves an intake, a clinical interview, a developmental history, questionnaires, and in person testing. Our goal is to have a written report and feedback session within one week after testing is completed.
Answer: Try to keep routines as normal as possible before the appointment. Bring any previous records, reports, or notes about concerns. Make sure to bring any equipment normally used to the appointment (i.e. eyeglasses). Take medication as prescribed the morning of the assessment. Some children may want to bring a preferred item to help with the transition, though we ask that this item not be technology. Please reach out and we will be happy to speak more about the specific testing that will occur based on the referral and any other relevant information.
Answer: If a learning disability is diagnosed, the report will include individualized recommendations for interventions, supports, or accommodations. We will guide you through the next steps and available resources.
Answer: Most clients are scheduled within 2-3 weeks of the intake being completed. We also offer nights and weekend appointments times that fit busy schedules!
Answer: Our assessment fees are competitively priced and clearly listed on this website. We understand that this can be a significant investment for families, so we offer the option to split the cost into two payments. We accept all major credit cards. Please don’t hesitate to contact us. We are happy to answer any additional questions you may have.
