Testing Accomodation Evaluations

  • Answer: A testing accommodation assessment is an evaluation that determines whether an individual requires specific accommodations on exams or standardized tests due to documented learning or psychological challenges. These individualized accommodations ensure equitable access and allow students and professionals to demonstrate their true abilities.

  • Answer: Students or professionals who experience barriers during exams, such as difficulties with attention, reading, writing, processing speed, physical limitations, or anxiety, may benefit from a testing accommodation assessment. If these challenges impact test performance, an assessment can provide clarity and support.

  • Answer: The assessment includes a thorough review of medical, psychological, and educational documentation, a clinical interview to discuss specific challenges during testing, and additional standardized testing to clarify the nature and extent of difficulties.

  • Answer: If accommodations are not recommended, we will discuss other strategies or supports that may be helpful.

  • Answer: Most clients are scheduled within 2-3 weeks of the intake being completed. We also offer nights and weekend appointments times that fit busy schedules!
